What is Functional Medicine? uses a holistic approach to treat chronic disease and ailments by getting to the root cause. Functional Medicine involves blood analysis as a foundation to help build your own wellness protocol focused on your diet, nutrition, stress levels, environment, therapies and vitamins.
What is therapy? Therapy is the process of meeting with a therapist to resolve problematic behaviors, beliefs, feelings, relationship issues, and/or sensations in the body like mood fluctuations and somatic complaints. The goal of therapy is to support you becoming the best version of yourself.
Why is Functional Medicine and Therapy a great pairing?
Many of the symptoms of disease can cause anxiety, depression and irritability. Paired together we are helping the whole person, Mind, Body and Skinn. Many western medicine practitioners only treat symptoms which can lead you to feeling unheard and not helped at the level that you may need. If you suspect that you have anxiety, either through symptoms (like mood fluctuations), family history or traumatic events you will want to run this panel. The Anxiety discovery panel goes beyond the GAD-7 questionnaires which is a common test used to assess anxiety in therapy settings. This panel will assess possible root causes of your anxiety like hormones, nutritional deficiencies and neurotransmitter imbalances. If none of the tested items are elevated, we can assess that your anxiety may be linked to other imbalances in which additional tests may be ordered in rounds.

If you suspect that you have nutritional deficiency either through symptoms (like fatigue, weak limbs, acne, depression and/or anxiety) then you want to run this panel.
