I’sha Gaines, M.Ed., LPC is a culturally conscious holistic therapist, entrepreneur, and creator of Rooted Function Theory™. Her work integrates therapy, movement, herbalism, skin + detox rituals, and ancestral wisdom to guide individuals from survival into liberated living.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I’sha spent 14 years as an educator before transitioning into therapy and holistic wellness after experiencing the transformative power of her own healing journey.

For 12 years, her brand HoneyBeNatural LLC includes: 

  • The HoneyBeNatural Institute of Liberation & Wellness — an accredited school offering holistic certifications and practitioner training.

  • HoneyBeLite Movement Studio — a community hub for movement including Aerial Fitness, Kemetic yoga, Pilates, and Bounce-N-Burn as medicine.

  • Aloe Curves Skin — a collection of skin and detox rituals that honor the body as a sacred vessel.

Her work is not just a career—it is a movement. I’sha’s approach weaves together psychology, spirituality, and ritual to help individuals repair relationships, metabolize trauma, and embody joy, freedom, and self-awareness. She is passionate about making wellness accessible, culturally grounded, and transformative for Black and Brown communities.
